ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Caretaker Minister for Information Murtaza Solangi said that the country had become the fifth largest democracy in the world.
Addressing a press conference with Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch said that the elections would be held after four days. He assured that foolproof security arrangements had been made for the general elections.
"The contest will be held on 326 seats of the National Assembly. About 59.3 percent women voters will cast their votes in the elections," he added.
The minister said t hat the Pakistan media is free and everyone had right to express his opinion and criticize. "The conduct of the peaceful and fair elections will be ensured. The police will lead the election security, while paramilitary forces and the Pak Army will follow them," he added.
