Pakistan has cheapest fuel cost in South Asia: PM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Soon after the announcement the reduction of petroleum products, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan has the cheapest fuel cost comparing to other states in South Asia. PM Khan, in a tweet from his official handle, said the government has further reduced petrol, light diesel oil and kerosene oil prices. The prime minister also said India is almost exactly the double while Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal are all 50 to 75 per cent more expensive than Pakistan. In order to provide further relief to the consumers, the federal government has reduced the prices of petroleum products ranging from 7.06 to 11.88 rupees for the current month. According to Finance Division, the price of Petrol has been slashed by 7.06 rupees per liter and the new price is 74.52 rupees. Price of Kerosene Oil has been decreased by 11.88 rupees per liter and its new price is 35.56 rupees. Similarly, price of Light Diesel oil has been reduced by 9.37 rupees per liter and the new price is 38.14 rupees. The price of High Speed Diesel has been increased by 0.05 rupees per liter and new prices will be 80.15 rupees. The new prices will come into effect from June 1.
