Pakistan hockey team captain says drug mafia hurling me death threats, seeks security

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan hockey team captain Muhammad Imran has appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to provide him and his family security as the drug mafia is hurling them life threats. Talking to 92 News exclusively on Wednesday, he said that he was unable to pay full attention to the game due to the threats. “On the pointation of the drug mafia, some rascals have continuously been hurling us threats and brandishing weapons outside my house,” he said. He said that threats had not stopped even after reporting the matter to the police. “I often remain abroad due to my busy schedule with the national team. I fear that the drug mafia could harm me or my family,” he said. The national hockey team captain said that he is being punished for being a patriot. He demanded strict action against the drug mafia as well as security for him and his family.
