Pakistan-IMF dialogues start in Dubai today

DUBAI (92 News) – The talks between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will start in Dubai on Wednesday. Pakistan will present the eighth review mission report to the IMF and assure it of an increase in the gas prices. The dialogues will continue till August 6. On the success of the dialogues, the IMF will approve the release the 9th installment of the loan in September. The Pakistan authorities will brief the IMF about the tax reforms and privatization programme in the country. The reforms made in the energy sector will also be reviewed in the meeting.
