Pakistan increases 20pc direct international flights

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - After a decline in number of the COVID-19 infections, Pakistan has decided to increase 20 per cent direct international flights.

The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has approved the revised air travel plan. It decided to increase 20 per cent direct international flights from the UK, Europe, Canada, China and Malaysia.

The flights coming from the UK, China, Malaysia, Europe and Canada will be increased by 40%. The arriving passengers will, however, have to undergo a mandatory COVID test before departing for Pakistan.

Home quarantine requirement for Corona negative passengers has been removed. The new air travel plan will come into effect from July 1.

Earlier, twenty-three more people died of coronavirus while 901 fresh positive cases of the infection have been reported in the country during the last 24 hours.

According to National Command and Operation Centre(NCOC), 44,544 tests of the infection were conducted and positivity ratio remained two point zero two percent.

The death toll due to Covid-19 in the country has now reached 22,211.
