Pakistan, Iran relations have taken a new turn, says FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan and Iran relations have a taken a new turn.

In a video message at the conclusion of his Tehran visit on Thursday, he said that signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the two countries for the establishment of trade centers at border areas is a clear manifestation of it.

He said that the opening of Mand-Pishin crossing point will not only benefit the people of two countries but also further strengthen the trade relationship.

The minister said that both Pakistan and Iran have agreed to work together to prevent the Islamophobic incidents. He said that it was agreed that the religious scholars of both the countries will have to play their role to raise awareness about the sanctity of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

He said that he had also discussed the Afghan situation with the Iranian leadership.
