Pakistan is fifth most affected country by climate change: PM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said that Pakistan is fifth most affected country by climate change. Addressing the launching ceremony of the biggest Tree Plantation Campaign, the prime minister has urged the people to play their role to make Pakistan clean and green. "We have destroyed our country by diminishing forests. There is need to make green our country by planting trees. We don't have to leave any space in the cities either. Pakistan is the fifth most affected country by climate change," Imran Khan mentioned. "Wheat production has been declined over the past two years. The rivers in the country also need to be cleaned," the premier said. He further said that Corona is not over yet so not to stop wearing face masks. PM Khan also congratulated Tiger Force, civil society and the members of Parliament for planting record 3.5 million trees in a day across the country. He stressed to work consistently to tackle climate change issue.
