ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is a whirlwind, but there is no chance of default.

Addressing a ceremony of the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Wednesday, he hoped that the situation will improve in a few days.

"Some people are damaging the country for the sake of their cheap politics. They have frightened the people. Someone is purchasing gold and someone is purchasing dollar. We will have to stop this filthy propaganda. Those wailing over default day and night should tell the people for whom they are working," he maintained.

The minister said that the government will have to take stern steps to stop the smuggling of dollar, wheat and fertilizers. "The government will welcome the proposals of the business community," he added.
