Pakistan is lone lawyer of Kashmiris, says AJK PM Raja Farooq Haider

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider has said that Pakistan is the lone lawyer of Kashmiris. Addressing a press conference after a meeting of the Action Committee on Wednesday, he said that the Kashmir issue was being highlighted due to sacrifices of the oppressed Kashmiris. Raja Farooq Haider said that the residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are anxious to help their brothers in Occupied Kashmir. “The situation in Occupied Kashmir is very serious. Under these circumstances, it is a good sign that all political leadership of AJK is sitting together,” he said. He categorically said that Kashmiris do not see Pakistan and India alike. “India wants to resolve the issue through occupation, but Pakistan wants its resolution as per wish of the Kashmiris,” he said. The Occupied Kashmir is under military siege since 5th August when Narendra Modi-led extremist government in New Delhi announced repeal of special status of Occupied Kashmir. Since then, markets and other business establishments are closed while public transport is off the roads across the valley. Internet, mobile and landline service in the territory continued to remain suspended leaving the Kashmir Valley cut off from the rest of the world. The military lockdown has rendered the common man with acute shortage of essential commodities and hospitals without medicines. Patients have been adversely hit by the clampdown. Due to severe blockade, people continue to face shortage of essential commodities including baby food, milk and life-saving drugs and the valley represents a humanitarian crisis. On Wednesday, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred a Kashmiri youth in Sopore. The youth identified as Asif was travelling in a car when Indian troops opened fire on the vehicle, resulting in his death. Indian troops during house raids arrested dozens of youths, including Aijaz Mir, Omar Mir, Tawseef Najar, Imitiyaz Najar, Omar Akbar, Faizan Latief, Danish Habib, and Showkat Ahmed Mir in different areas of Sopore town.
