Pakistan is only partner of peace, says FM Qureshi

WASHINGTON (92 News) – Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan is only partner of peace and will not part of anyone’s war in the region. Addressing at US Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, FM Qureshi said that Pakistan wants to de-escalate the tensions between US and Iran.  He also mentioned that Pakistan is a partner of peace and wants solution to the issue through diplomatic means.

Kashmir issue should be resolved in as per with UN resolutions

The foreign minister said that Pakistan wants solution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He said that people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) are facing an indefinite human crisis in the shape of military lockdown and blockades for the past 165th days. FM QUreshi said BJP mislead the international community on Pulwama issue and construed Pakistan’s desire for peace as its weakness.

Kartarpur opened for entire world

He said Pakistan wants peace for development and for this purpose, it opened Kartarpur Corridor not only for India but for the entire world.

Peace in Afghanistan shared responsibility of all stakeholders

Turning to Afghanistan, the minister said establishing peace in Afghanistan is a shared responsibility of all the stakeholders. He said increase in trade activities between Pakistan and Afghanistan is in the interest of both the countries. He also spoke on different aspects of Pak-US relations.
