Pakistan is our important partner in region, says Ned Price

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – US State Department spokesperson Ned Price has said that Pakistan is our important partner in the region.

Addressing a media briefing, Ned Price said that foreign minister Antony Blinken met with his Pakistani counterpart in New York last month. They had constructive discussions on a number of issues. “Russia's invasion of Ukraine was also part of the talks between the US and Pakistani foreign ministers. We are working on common interests to enhance partnership with Pakistan.”

The United States has also condemned human rights abuses in India and the demolition of Muslim homes. "We urge India to respect human rights," Ned Price said.
