Pakistan, Jordan agree to optimize military ties

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Staff of Strategic Planning and Defence Resources Jordan Armed Forces Major General Nassar Al Athamneh on Monday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. According to the Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR), the matters of mutual and professional interest with special emphasis on defence and security collaboration between the two brotherly countries were discussed. The ISPR also said that both the sides agreed to further optimize military to military ties particularly in training and counter terrorism domain.
Tajikistan defence minister, COAS discuss bilateral security cooperation
Earlier, Tajikistan Defence Minister General Sherali Mirzo called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters. According to a press release issued by the ISPR, they discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional security. They also discussed bilateral defence and security cooperation. Tajikistan Defence Minister General Sherali Mirzo lauded professional capabilities of the Pak Army. “Pakistan’s efforts for regional stability are laudable,” he added.
COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday called on Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan at the PM’s office in Islamabad on Thursday.

According to the PM’s office spokesman, both the leaders discussed different affairs pertaining to security of the country. The COAS informed the prime minister about latest developments on all the security related matters.

The strategy, to deal with any possible Indian aggression, was also discussed during the meeting.
