Pakistan looking into allegations of Indian funding to MQM in BBC report, says FO Spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Office Spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah has said that they are looking into allegations of Indian funding to the MQM in the BBC report and decision on action will be made after investigations. During a weekly briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that they had not received any signal for talks from India. He added that during the Pakistan tour, the Indian Foreign secretary had said they would tell about the restoration of talks after returning to their country; however, no reply had been received from them yet. “Interference in other countries is a threat to peace in the region. The enemy of Afghanistan is the enemy of Pakistan,” he maintained. Qazi Khalilullah said that Pakistan is following the best policy of neighbours. “After failing to get sanctions imposed on Pakistan through the United Nations Security Council, the statement issued by the Indian Foreign Ministry to held China responsible is against the facts. India itself is the violator of the resolutions of the United Nations,” he said. About the allegation of an attack on the Afghan Parliament against Pakistan, the spokesperson said that Pakistan is a well-wisher of Afghanistan. “Pakistan has condemned the attack on the Afghan Parliament. The enemy of Afghanistan is the enemy of Pakistan,” he reiterated.
