ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan has on Tuesday decided not to accept external pressure on the death sentence of Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) spy Kalbhushan Yadav.

Pakistan decided to present its stance to the ambassadors in Islamabad.

The Pakistani ambassadors to different countries will also brief the government officials regarding Kalbhushan Yadav’s activities in Pakistan.

Earlier, Indian Research and Analysis (RAW) agent Kulbhushan Yadav was awarded death sentence through FGCM by Pakistan Army for espionage and sabotage activities against Pakistan.

Security forces had arrested Indian Research and Analysis (RAW) Agent/Naval officer 41558Z Commander Kulbushan Sudhir Jadhav alias Hussein Mubarak Patel on March 3, 2016 during a Counter Intelligence Operation from Mashkel area of Balochistan, for his involvement in espionage and sabotage activities against Pakistan.

The Indian spy was tried by the Field General Court Martial (FGCM) under section 59 of Pakistan Army Act (PAA) 1952 and Section 3 of official Secret Act of 1923 and awarded death sentence.

FGCM found Kulbushan Sudhir Yadhav guilty of all the charges.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa had also confirmed his death sentence awarded by FGCM.

He confessed before the Court that he was tasked by RAW to plan, coordinate and organize espionage/sabotage activities aiming to destabilize and wage war against Pakistan by impeding the efforts of Law Enforcement Agencies for restoring peace in Balochistan and Karachi.

The accused was provided with defending officer as per legal provisions.
