SUKKUR (92 News) – Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has said that Pakistan is not progressing despite the availability of resources. Addressing a ceremony regarding the promotion of technical education in Sukkur on Saturday, Khurshid Shah said that the country still lacks political awareness. The 60 per cent youth of the country should be used for constructive purposes, he said, and added that Parliament has a great role in development. “The world is changing. The government can only provide livelihood to two per cent population but unfortunately, the government has not realized its responsibility to provide employment opportunities to the youth, he added. The basic problem of the country is increasing population but we are not paying attention to the issue, he further said. He said that skilled people are an important asset of our country and we spend half of our budget on cosmetics. This is also a skill that we go to a beautician to cut our nails, he said. On a lighter note, he said, “I have two wives. One day I asked them about their spending on beauticians. They replied that Rs 5,000. I said that I should also learn this work.
