Pakistan out of danger of going default, says Miftah Ismail

KARACHI (92 News) - Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that Pakistan is now out of danger of going default and is not facing Sri Lanka-like situation.

In an interview with CNN on Tuesday, he said that the method of coming out of the crisis remained fruitful.

"Pakistan has secured economic protection. Now it is not facing the problems he faced at the time of assuming the government," he added.

The minister said that the foreign exchange reserves would stabilize soon. "The government is gaining more and more control over the trade deficit. Inflation will also be controlled in the coming days," he maintained.

He said that the country has been saved from deficit and bankruptcy.
