Pakistan to play first day-night Test match against Aussies as CA announces schedule
SYDNEY (92 News) – Cricket Australia has announced its schedule for the summer of cricket, with Pakistan having its first-ever day-night Test match in Gabba amid uncertainty over whether Adelaide will host a day game or another Test under lights.
The Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed on Wednesday that Australia would play three-Test series against Pakistan.
The Pakistan series will open in Gabba on December 15. Pakistan will play Tests against Australia at the Gabba, from mid-December to the first week of January, the first match of that series set to be a day-night.
CA chief executive James Sutherland said that Pakistan should be applauded for committing to and supporting the day-night Test initiative.
The Australian team will play host to New Zealand for a three-match ODI series beginning on January 13, then Steve Smith's men will play Pakistan in a five-match ODI series.
