Pakistan qualify for World Polo Championship

LAHORE (92 News) - Pakistan thrashed India in both playoff to qualify for the World Polo Championship to be played in Wellington, USA from October 26 to November 26.

On Sunday, Pakistan outclassed the arch-rivals by 7-3 in the second Zone E playoff at East Rand Polo Club in Johannesburg, South Africa. Earlier, Pakistan beat India by 5-4 in the first playoff held at Inanda Polo Club.

Hamza Mawaz and Raja Sami scored four goals each, while Mekiyal Sami and Raja Taimur Nadeem pushed three goals.

Brig (Retd) Badaruz Zaman and Lt Col Ayaz Ahmed served as team manager and assistant team manager, respectively.

Pakistan Polo Association (PPA) secretary Lt Col Ayaz Ahmed said that Pakistan displayed an excellent game.
