Pakistan ready to give befitting reply to Indian aggression: PM Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A high-level meeting, headed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, to review the national and regional security situation was held on Wednesday. Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Nawaz said that Pakistan had always worked firmly for establishing peace in the region and would continue to do so. “Pakistan is ready to give a befitting reply to any Indian aggression. None of the countries can violate the Indus Waters Treaty. Pakistan would continue to raise the Kashmir cause at international level and continue to give moral and diplomatic support to Kashmiris,” the prime minister said. Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, foreign secretary, military operation DG and other civilian and military officials attended the meeting. The participants of the meeting expressed satisfaction over preparations made by the armed forced for protecting national integrity. The meeting condemned the Indian atrocities in Kashmir. It reiterated that the oppression of Kashmiris fighting for their right to self-determination would not be tolerated. “The armed forces and people of Pakistan are ready to defend themselves,” the participants asserted.
