Pakistan reaffirms commitment to good relations with Afghanistan: FO

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - A day after six Pakistani soldiers were injured by Afghan firing in South Waziristan from across the border, Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to friendly ties with all its neighbours, especially Afghanistan, and stability in the region. Speaking at a news briefing today (Thursday), Foreign Office Spokesman Qazi Khalilullah said we will continue to support an Afghan led and Afghan owned peace and reconciliation process. "Ppeaceful, stable and prosperous Afghanistan is in Pakistan's best interest. Noninterference in internal affairs of Afghanistan is the key pillar of Pakistan Afghan policy," he said. "The two sides are constructively engaged to rebuild mutual trust and understanding." The spokesman said Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms. Both Pakistan and Afghanistan are cooperating to counter terrorism.
