Pakistan records 4,786 fresh COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan has recorded 4,786 fresh COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,094,699 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the country reported 73 deaths in a day by novel coronavirus and the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 24,339.

The NCOC said that the country’s number of overall confirmed cases has risen to 1,094,699, including 983,754 recoveries, adding that the positivity rate of infections was recorded at 8.09 per cent.

Till now 46,666 active cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Sindh, 20,599 in Punjab, 6,530 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 5,886 in Islamabad, 916 in Balochistan, 5,020 in Azad Kashmir and 989 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
