Pakistan records 43 deaths due to coronavirus during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan has recorded 43 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 11,247 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,927 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours as the the number of positive cases has surged to 530,818.

A total of 40,403 tests were conducted across the country during this period. Overall 484,508 people have recovered from the deadly disease so far while 7,602,380 samples have been tested thus far.

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Most numbers of casualties have been reported in Punjab.

Till now 239,935 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 152,925 in Punjab, 64,945 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18,715 in Balochistan, 40,629 in Islamabad, 8,770 in Azad Kashmir and 4,899 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
