Pakistan, regional countries want peace in Afghanistan: PM Imran Khan

TASHKENT (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan and regional countries want peace in Afghanistan.

Addressing Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum in Tashkent on Thursday, he said that the Trans-Afghan railway project will promote relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. "This connectivity project will connect Uzbekistan with Pakistan's seaports and open new markets for it. I hope that the trade between both countries will promote."

The prime minister stressed the need for deepening business and economic relations between both countries.

He expressed satisfaction over the contracts signed by Pakistani business houses with their Uzbek counterparts.

PM Imran Khan said that Pakistan is keen to see peace and political settlement in Afghanistan to reap the benefits of connectivity. He also called for more frequent flights between both countries.
