ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan has again rejected the Indian claim of shooting down F-16 aircraft of Pakistan Air Force in February 2019.

Foreign Office spokesman Asim Iftikhar said that the Indian claims about the downing of F-16 were baseless and fabricated. India's claim of shooting down an F-16 before the arrest of Indian pilot Abhinandan is false. The purpose of giving the award to Abhinandan is to divert the attention of the Indian people from the realities. Giving an award to an Indian pilot is to make his people happy and to remove disgrace.

The spokesman said that international experts, US officials confirmed that no Pakistani F-16 plane crashed that day. International and US experts carefully reviewed the stock of F-16 aircraft. Honoring an Indian pilot is against military principles and values. Honoring a defeated Indian pilot is like making fun of yourself.

The spokesman said that Pakistan Air Force had shot down two Indian planes in broad daylight on February 27, 2019. An Indian was shot down in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the pilot which was captured by Pakistan, then released out of goodwill. Sending back Indian pilot shows that Pakistan wants peace in spite of Indian bigotry.
