Pakistan releases 63 Indian fishermen as goodwill gesture

KARACHI (92 News) – The Pakistani authorities released at least 63 Indian fishermen as a goodwill gesture on Wednesday.

 

The Pakistan Maritime Agency has also released 10 boats from its custody.

 

The released Indian fishermen belong to Junagadh and Ukha districts of India.

 

According to Indian media, the Pakistani authorities have released the fishermen as a goodwill gesture after India freed two of Pakistan’s coast guard commandos.

 

The Indian media claimed that India released two commandos of Pakistan coast guards on Tuesday.

 

It is pertinent to mention here that the Indian navy ship had rescued the sinking boat of Pakistan Maritime Security Agency near its maritime borders. Two persons on the ship were rescued alive while three dead bodies were recovered from the sea.

 

The incident took place near Ahmadabad city of the state of Gujrat, Indian media said.
