Pakistan reopens Friendship Gate Chaman on request of Afghan authorities

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Pakistan has reopened Friendship Gate Chaman on humanitarian grounds in Ramazan on the request of Afghan authorities, said a press release issued by the ISPR.

After the Chaman incident, Pakistan had closed the gate 22 days ago after having pushed back Afghan Border police.

The census has been completed in the Pakistani side of the divided villages. It has been agreed by Pakistan authorities that ceasefire will continue to be maintained and no border violation will be acceptable.

The Pakistani troops will maintain its positions along International Border in Killi Luqman and Killi Jahangir on the Pakistani side of the border.
