Pakistan reports 15 deaths by coronavirus in last 24 hours

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan has reported 15 deaths in last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 284,660 as nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,097 on Monday. According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 539 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours. The total number of recovered coronavirus patients in the country has reached 260,764 making it a significant count. There are now 17,799 active cases in Pakistan. Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad. Till now 123,849 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 94,477 in Punjab, 34,692 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,261 in Islamabad, 11,906 in Balochistan, 2,141 in Azad Kashmir and 2,334 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
