Pakistan reports 2, 417 COVID-19 cases, 45 deaths in a day

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic claims 45 more lives, whereas, 2,417 new infections were reported during the last 24 hours on Friday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), Pakistan reported 45 deaths in the last 24 hours by coronavirus as the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 10,863.

With fresh inclusion of 2,417 new infections in the country the national tally of cases now currently stands at 514,338.

Pakistan has so far conducted 7,284,009 coronavirus tests and 40,359 in the last 24 hours. 469,306 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,294 patients are in critical condition.

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.

Till now 231,953 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 147,953 in Punjab, 62,719 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18,515 in Balochistan, 39,749 in Islamabad, 8,567 in Azad Kashmir and 4,882 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 4,370 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 3,755 in Sindh, 1,762 in KP, 189 in Balochistan, 449 in Islamabad, 237 in Azad Kashmir and 101 in GB.
