Pakistan reports 617 coronavirus cases, 15 deaths in last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Pakistan reported 617 new coronavirus cases during the past 24 hours, taking the total number of reported cases to 289,832. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,190 on Tuesday. According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 270,009 patients have recovered from coronavirus in Pakistan, while the total active Covid-19 cases in the country are now 13,633.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 2,317,213 coronavirus tests and 17,612 in last 24 hours. 759 patients are in critical condition. During past 24 hours, as many as 17612 more samples were tested, taking the total number of tests conducted across the country thus far to 289832. Thus far, 126,182 cases have been detected in Sindh, 95,447 in Punjab, 35,215 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 12,295 in Balochistan, 15,390 in Islamabad, 2,184 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 2,502 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Province-wise Details
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad. Till now 126,425 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 95,611 in Punjab, 35,337 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,401 in Islamabad, 12,321 in Balochistan, 2,199 in Azad Kashmir and 2,538 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Furthermore 2,331 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Sindh, 2,185 in Punjab, 1,239 in KP, 138 in Balochistan, 175 in Islamabad, 61 in GB and 61 in Azad Kashmir.
