Pakistan reports 67 deaths, 3,582 coronavirus cases in a day

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan has reported 67 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 23,529 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 3,582 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,043,277.

The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 7.19 percent. So far, 25,208,663 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine and 879,181 in last 24 hours. 6,720,918 citizens have been inoculated second dose of the vaccine and 192,991 in last 24 hours.

The number of total administered doses has escalated to 31,929,581 with 1,072,172 in the last 24 hours. The coronavirus positivity rate in Pakistan stood at 7.19% with 75,373 active cases across the country.

The NCOC data reveals that at least 49,798 coronavirus tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, out of which 3,582 came back positive. Meanwhile, 682,290 people have recovered from the virus in the country so far.

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,083 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,057 in Sindh, 4,477 in KP, 804 in Islamabad, 633 in Azad Kashmir, 328 in Balochistan, and 147 in GB.

Furthermore, 387,261 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 358,387 in Punjab, 145,306 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 88,344 in Islamabad, 30,627 in Balochistan, 25,034 in Azad Kashmir and 8,318 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
