Pakistan reports four deaths, 300 coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan has reported four deaths and 400 new novel coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours on Tuesday as the number of positive cases has surged to 296,149. According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the COVID-19 claimed four more lives in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,298. As many as 20,882 samples were tested, out of which 264 turned to be positive. The number of active coronavirus cases has gone down to 8,881 as 280,970 patients have recuperated. Besides, 1,044 Covid-19 patients are under treatment in 735 hospitals across the country, out of whom 92 are on ventilators. Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad. Till now 129,469 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 96,832 in Punjab, 36,118 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,649 in Islamabad, 12,879 in Balochistan, 2,299 in Azad Kashmir and 2,903 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
