Pakistan reports nine deaths by coronavirus in last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Pakistan has reported 9 deaths in last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 293,261. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,244 on Monday. According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 94.4 per cent patients have recovered from coronavirus in Pakistan. The tally of recoveries has reached 276,829 after the recovery of 993 patients over the last twenty-four hours. There are now 10,188 active Covid-19 cases in the country. 496 new coronavirus cases surfaced in the country after tests of 23, 655 people over the last twenty-four hours. Nine new deaths have also been reported during this period.
Province-wise Details
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad. Till now 128,284 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 96,233 in Punjab, 35,766 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,515 in Islamabad, 12,527 in Balochistan, 2,254 in Azad Kashmir and 2,682 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
