Pakistan settles matters with IMF, three major steps to be taken

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan has settled matters with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Pakistan will take three major steps.

According to Finance Ministry sources, major hurdles have been overcome in approving the first installment of one billion dollars on January 12. Pakistan will not bring a mini budget of more than Rs350 billion in tax revenue, the volume of Federal development budget will be reduced from Rs 900 billion to Rs 700 billion while the tax target will be limited to Rs 5,800 billion.

Expenditure of various departments will be cut; a new schedule for payment of subsidy will be unveiled. Loans from banks will also be rescheduled.
