Pakistan snipers clinch gold, silver medal in European Long Range Championship

RAWALPINDI (APP) - The Pakistan team of long-range snipers have clinched two silvers and a gold medal in the European Long Range Championship that had commenced on September 5 at Bisley, UK in its maiden appearance at one of the world’s leading shooting competitions.

According to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), after World Championship, the European platform is considered to be the second biggest event in this category.

The Pakistan Team made its maiden appearance in the European Championship to compete with over 80 international shooters from 12 nations in individual matches and 12 teams in team matches.

The Pakistani Long Range Team made history by winning European Long Range Championship – UK 2023. Lieutenant General Ahsan Gulrez and Colonel Junaid Waqas won silver medals while Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Ali secured gold; the first ever international medals won by Pakistan in the international long range event.
