Pakistan solely fighting war against terrorism: Khawaja Asif

MOSCOW (92 News) – Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said Pakistan is the only country in the world that is solely fighting war against terrorism. Addressing the IV Moscow Conference on International Security on Thursday, Asif said Pakistani Armed Forces have weakened the terrorists in successfully conducting operations Zarb-e-Azb and Khyber-2 in the tribal areas. He said Pakistan is determined to eliminate terrorism and extremism. Khawaja Asif lamented non-implementation of United Nations’ resolutions on Kashmir and Palestine, pointed out the worsening law & order situation in the two conflict zones. Earlier on Wednesday, Asif met his Russian counterpart, Sergei Shoigu. In a joint declaration after the meeting, it was agreed that both Pakistan and Russia would conduct joint military exercises.
