Pakistan Steel Mills employees protest against non-payment of dues

KARACHI (92 News) – The workers of Pakistan Steel Mills staged a protest against the non-payment of dues in Karachi on Tuesday. The steel mill employees claimed that they have not been receiving the salaries for four months. The enraged protesters blocked the National Highway and staged a sit-in. The situation got worse when police resorted to baton charge and shelling after the dialogue with Haleem Sheikh and other leaders went unsuccessful. Traffic remained blocked at the highway due to the protest. However, it was soon opened for traffic.
