ISLAMABAD (92 News) Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar says that the Government of Pakistan sticks to the national policy given by the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, regarding Israel.
While addressing a National Assembly session, Tarar said, “The Palestine issue is also part of our faith. The first Qibla of Muslims is in Palestine. The government is sending relief supplies to Palestinians beyond its means. The government has brought Palestinian medical students to Pakistan and started their education.”
He also said, “The solution to the Kashmir and Palestine conflicts should be in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations (UN). Pakistan’s position regarding the Palestine issue is blunt and clear. The founder of Pakistan has given his national policy regarding Israel, and the Government of Pakistan stands on the national policy of the founder of Pakistan.”
He deplored that Israeli atrocities in Palestine are increasing with each passing day, adding that more than 65,000 innocent Palestinians have been martyred, more than 130,000 Palestinians have been seriously injured, and over 15,000 Palestinians are missing in 17 months.
“Israel is targeting women, children, and civilians. Israel has wiped out the Gaza Strip,” the law minister said.
“Gaza's infrastructure has been destroyed. A genocide is being carried out. Israel is not stopping the bombing despite the ceasefire agreement,” he added.
He also regretted the silence of some countries on the situation in Gaza, adding it is welcome that South Africa is taking the matter of Israeli aggression to the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
