Pakistan successfully curbs means of terrorism: president

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – President Dr Arif Alvi says Pakistan successfully curbed the menace of terrorism and now it moving towards peace and prosperity. Addressing a business award ceremony of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Faisalabad today, he said Pakistan hosted 3.5 million Afghan refugees open heartedly during the Afghan war. The President said Pakistan desires good relations with India and people of Pakistan showed maturity during the recent stand-off with India. He urged the business community to invest in IT sector as it has an immense potential of growth. Dr Arif Alvi said currently Pakistan's share in IT industry is less than one per cent.

President Dr Arif Alvi said that not only Pakistan successfully combated and defeated the scourge of terrorism but also proved wrong the false interpretation of Islam and terrorism. Addressing the “4th Paigham-e-Islam conference” on Sunday, the president has said that Islam is the religion of peace, equality and compassion.
Pakistan provides shelter for millions of Afghan refugees
Dr Arif Alvi said through providing shelter to millions of Afghan refugees for a long period, Pakistan conveyed the real meaning of compassion and brotherhood.
World paying tribute to bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces
He said Pakistan hosted 3.5 million Afghan refugees and their third and fourth generation is still living in Pakistan. He said today, the entire world is paying tribute to the bravery of our armed forces.
