Pakistan successfully test fires Ghauri missile

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Pakistan successfully conducted training launch of Ghauri Missile System. According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the launch was conducted by a Strategic Missile Group of the Army Strategic Forces Command that was aimed at testing the operational and technical readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command. Ghauri Ballistic Missile can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads upto a distance of 1300 kilometres. The launch was witnessed by senior officers from Strategic Plans Division, strategic forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organisations. While congratulating the scientists, engineers and all ranks of Strategic Forces, Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat expressed his full satisfaction over the excellent standard achieved by the Strategic Forces during training which was duly reflected by the proficient handling of the weapon system in the field and fulfillment of all laid down operational and technical objectives. He emphasised that Pakistan can be justifiably proud of its defence capability and the credibility of its nuclear deterrence. President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif congratulated the Strategic Forces, scientists and engineers on their outstanding achievement.
