Pakistan summons Indian diplomat, lodges strong protest over CFVs along LoC

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Indian Charge d’Affaires was summoned by Director General (South Asia & SAARC) Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry to register Pakistan’s strong protest over over violation of the ceasefire agreement at Working Boundary.

Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said that the Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing at the Working Boundary. “Indian charge d’affaires was summoned to lodge a strong protest over the violation,” the spokesman said adding that India should adhere to a ceasefire agreement.

The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India have contacted and also discussed the existing mechanism of the hotline.
