ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has on Tuesday said that repeated attempts were made to remove him from politics but the people brought him back again and again. Addressing the meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) General Council in Convention Center on Tuesday, he thanked the party workers for reposing confidence in him once again and appreciated the parliamentarians for passing the law that abolished the amendment blocking his way into politics. The newly re-elected PML-N president said that his party wants to take the country forward by empowering the youth, adding that Pakistan of today is much better than it was in 2013. Sharif went on to propose a Grand National dialogue between the political parties to strengthen democracy and ensure rule of law in the country. The former PM didn’t forget about mentioning cleanliness and development projects during his tenure. He said the work on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project is being completed speedily which would change the fate of the country. Sharif accused the Supreme Court of subverting the will of the Pakistani people, who voted him into power in 2013 for the third time.
