ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan said that Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia have decided to set up a BBC type English language TV Channel. In his tweet, Imran Khan shared a picture of his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on the sidelines of recent UN General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York in which they decided to set up a BBC type English language TV Channel. The prime minister said apart from highlighting Muslim issues, the channel will also fight Islamophobia. “Our meeting in which we decided to set up a BBC type English language TV Channel that, apart from highlighting Muslim issues, will also fight Islamophobia,” PM Khan tweeted. Earlier, Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia have decided to launch a combined English channel to highlight the real concept of Islam in front of world and remove misconceptions. The channel will counter the west’s narrative of Islamophobia and disseminate the true picture of our great religion Islam, Prime Minister Imran Khan announces in a latest tweet. “The channel will remove misunderstandings about Muslims,” PM Imran Khan further tweeted. Imran Khan said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed and he jointly decided to start dedicated English channel to confront the challenges posed by Islamophobia and clarify misconceptions about our great religion Islam. Series and films would be produced on Muslim history to educate and inform our own people and the world while Muslims would be given a dedicated media presence, the premier concluded in tweet.
