Pakistan urged to do more against terrorists
WASHINGTON (92 News) – US President Barack Obama has on Sunday said that Pakistan needs to show it is “serious” about cracking down on terrorist networks operating on its territory in the wake of the latest mass killing of students.
In an interview with an Indian media, Obama praised recent crackdowns by Pakistani security forces but said more should be done to eradicate violent terrorist groups.
“In the region and around the world, there must be zero tolerance for safe havens and terrorists must be brought to justice,” Obama said.
Obama said that Pakistan has an opportunity to show that it is serious about delegitimizing, disrupting, and dismantling terrorist networks.
