Pakistan, US will have to play their role for durable solution for Afghan issue: Asad Majeed

WASHINGTON (92 News) – Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed has said that the future Pakistan-US relations are key to the durable resolution of Afghanistan issue.

Addressing a seminar at Institute of Peace in Washington on Wednesday, he said that both countries will have to play their role for the durable solution for the Afghan issue. "Pakistan wants peace and stability in Afghanistan," he declared.

The ambassador said that there are ample opportunities of cooperation between Pakistan and the US in different fields.

"US investors have the best opportunities of investment in Pakistan. The government has formulated the best policy and attractive policy for foreign investors," he maintained.

He said that India had not taken seriously Pakistan's efforts for peace in the region. "The Kashmir issue should be resolved as per aspiration of the Kashmiris and the UN resolutions," he concluded.
