Pakistan wants lasting peace in Afghanistan, says Caretaker FM Jilani

NEW YORK (92 News) - Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that Pakistan wants lasting peace in Afghanistan.

Addressing the Asia Society conference on Wednesday, he said that the Afghan soil should not be used for the activities of terrorists.

He declared that economic betterment is an important part of the foreign policy. "China is also the biggest trade partner of Pakistan. There is need to enhance cooperation in the fields of investment, agriculture and health," he maintained.

The FM said that India is unleashing atrocities in the Occupied Kashmir. "The Indian religious hatred and other steps pose a threat to the regional peace," he maintained.

Meanwhile, Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani held meetings with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia and Belarus. He also attended a six-member meeting for Palestine.
