Pakistan wants peaceful neighborhood based on non-interference: PM

MINSK (92 News) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has underlined the need to improve regional connectivity by spreading a network of roads and railways. Addressing Pakistan-Belarus Joint Business Forum in Minsk on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said Pakistan can be a 'gateway to South Asia, Middle East, and Central Asia, for Belarus while Belarus can be Pakistan's gateway for Baltic States. "Cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus can lead to economic prosperity as the two countries are blessed with geo-strategic location and rich human and natural resources," he said. "There is a need for expanding bilateral cooperation in agriculture, trade, economy, and industry, including joint ventures in various fields." The Prime Minister said we need to establish a mechanism to fast-track the implementation of understandings reached between our entrepreneurs. He said Pakistan is all set to achieve the common goals for sustained development for all. He added we want peaceful neighborhood based on non-interference and constructive engagements. Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan's location connecting Central, South, and West Asia promises limitless possibilities for regional and global peace and prosperity. He said geographically, Pakistan is a neutral hub of all economic activities in the region.
