Pakistan wants peaceful solution to Kashmir dispute, says FM Qureshi
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan wants a peaceful solution to the Kashmir dispute.
Addressing a National Conference on Strategic Stability in South Asia in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said that regional peace faces threats due to increase in tension in the region.
“Pakistan is a peaceful country and we want good relations with neigbouring countries to build a prosperous South Asia,” he said. “Conflict resolution is the key to strategic stability in the region.”
The minister said that the Indian denial to the Kashmir right of self-determination and its blatant human rights violations have led to frustration among the Kashmiri youth.
He said that this is the reason that the freedom struggle in Occupied Kashmir has gained momentum and caught world attention. “We are witnessing in Kashmir the backlash of Indian atrocities inflicted on Kashmiris,” he added.
