ISLAMABAD (92 News) – President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan seeks to enhance bilateral trade, cooperation in defence, counter terrorism, renewable energy, IT and automotive industry with Germany.
Talking to outgoing Ambassador of Germany Dr Cyrill Nunn who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday, the President said that Pakistan is an investor-friendly country and German investors can take advantage of its liberal investment policies.
The President said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Germany in the fields of culture and higher education. “Pakistan desires to bolster contacts and trade with Germany both bilaterally and at European Union level.”
President Mamnoon Hussain said that Pakistan is committed to eradicate terrorism and extremism in all its forms and manifestations. “Pakistan wants to have cordial relations with all its neighbours for peace in the region,” he added.
The President appreciated the outgoing ambassador’s contributions in further promoting bilateral relations between the two countries and wished him well in his future.
Speaking on the occasion, outgoing German Ambassador Dr Cyrill Nunn paid tributes to sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in war against terrorism.
