Pakistan warmly welcomes 2nd round of Intra Afghan negotiations in Doha

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Pakistan has warmly welcomed commencement of the second round of Intra Afghan negotiations in Doha.

In a statement, the Foreign Office (FO ) spokesperson said that the two teams have made significant progress by finalizing the rules and procedures last month and have now reconvened to negotiate on substantive issues.

He said last year witnessed substantial progress towards peace in Afghanistan, with a number of positive developments which paved the way for meaningful progress in the peace talks.

The FO spokesperson said we hope that the two negotiating teams would continue to engage with open-mind and will observe patience, prudence and perseverance to seize this historic opportunity for peace.
