ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has demanded that the Election Commission (ECP) of Pakistan should resign after the Judicial Commission report. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should apologize to the nation whose precious time was wasted due to him (Nawaz). He said that the PTI’s demand was justified. “How can it be said that the election was according to the law despite the missing of 22 million votes? The inquiry could have moved ahead, but the Judicial Commission left the work incomplete,” he said. The PTI chief said that had four constituencies been opened there would have neither been the sit-in nor protest. “Pakistan is changing due to the Judicial Commission report. The JC decision is declaration of the victory of the sit-in,” he said. The PTI chairman said that they had fought a war for the respect of a common man. He said that his fears had increased after the JC verdict. “The PTI will play an active role in the parliament and will not come on roads,” he maintained. Appreciating Chief Justice Nasarul Mulk and the Judicial Commission, he said that the JC should have suggested penalties for the people involved in rigging.
